Meet the doctor

Karina Fulton, OD

Dr. Karina Fulton graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 2011. She is also a graduate of Lake Forest College where she focused on Biology and Neuroscience. To further her knowledge of ocular disease conditions after earning doctor of optometry degree, Dr. Karina completed residency training at a VA hospital.

Dr. Karina is excited to work at SEE Eyewear where thorough eye examinations and personalized care are appreciated. Dr. Karina focuses on helping patients become their own advocates for maintaining the well-being of vision and medical health, especially when it comes to symptoms of dry eye or digital screen strain. Vision therapy and pediatric eye exams are something Dr. Karina is very knowledgeable about, particularly given how the health of vision affects literacy and the ability to learn in school. Empathy for every patient care experience is how Dr. Karina's eye exams are centered, because no individuals are the same; every person's unique vision health expectation and eye conditions are extremely important to be respected.

Dr. Karina can speak Russian and Spanish during an eye exam if needed, she understands the language barriers that exist in healthcare and wants to help patients be comfortable with information about their vision health. The strong work ethic instilled by her family's upbringing will shine through during your eye exam experience. On days when not working at SEE Eyewear, Dr. Karina spends time with family or attending events that focus on environmental, entrepreneurial and public health causes.
