Dr. Quyen Lam was born and raised in Sacramento, California. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at UC San Diego and went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry. With full-scope experience across various clinic settings including VA hospitals, private practice, and University Eye Centers, she now focuses on primary eye care and provides comprehensive eye exams, including contact lens fittings. She strives to provide compassionate, personalized eye care to all her patients to improve their comfort, vision, and ocular health.

In her free time, Dr. Lam enjoys exploring the city, working out, trying new coffee shops and restaurants, and attending music events.

Dr. Alshawkani graduated with a B.S. in Health Science from George Mason University in 2009. She then went on to obtain her joint Doctorate of Optometry and Master of Science in Vision Science degrees from SUNY State College of Optometry, graduating in 2013 as a member of the International Optometric Honor Society. She participates in several volunteer activities in the community, with previous involvements including OneSight's Vision Van Clinic, MLB East Coast Pro Showcase, Special Olympics, and vision walks. In her free time, she loves to travel worldwide, explore the city, and stay active with bike rides, hikes, and dancing.
